1 can Eagle Brand milk 1 can (use above can) milk 1 tsp. vanilla 4 med. eggs 1 sm. Philadelphia cream cheese Mix these in blender until well blended. Melt 1/3 cup sugar in medium size pan over low heat. Then pour blended mixture on top of melted sugar. Cover with aluminum foil and place in large pan with boiling water but water should not be covering smaller pan. Cover large pan with a lid to keep in the steam. Bake in oven to 1 to 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Knife should come out clean when inserted into center of flan when done. Flan in a very popular dessert in Mexico, and shown on any menu. It would be comparable to our cherry or apple pie in significance. So very similar to our custard but a bit richer. |
