LEMON POUND CAKE | |
1 tsp. grated lemon peel 2 1/4 c. unsifted flour 2 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla 1 c. butter 1 c. (8 oz.) sour cream 3 lg. eggs GLAZE: 3/4 c. powdered sugar 1 tbsp. lemon juice Combine all ingredients in large mixer bowl. Blend at low speed and beat for 3 minutes at medium speed. Pour into greased and floured pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes or until pick is clean. Cool until lukewarm and remove from pan. Cool completely. Spoon glaze over cake. |
