ROUND STEAK SAUERBRATEN 
1 1/2 lb. round steak, 1/2 inch thick, or I use stew beef
2 env. brown gravy mix
4 c. water
1-2 tbsp. instant minced onion
4 tbsp. white wine vinegar
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. ginger
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 bay leaves
Hot noodles, buttered if desired

Place meat in crock pot and cook on low setting. Meanwhile, in medium saucepan, bring water to a boil and gradually stir in gravy mix, leaving no lumps. Remove from heat and add remaining ingredients except noodles, stirring well. Allow to cool sufficiently to add to meat in crock pot without cracking the pot. Cook on low for about 9-10 hours. Serve over noodles.
