CHOPPED HERRING 
1 pt. jar pickled herring in wine sauce
1 1/2 slices white bread
4 hard boiled eggs
1 lg. apple

Pour herring liquid over white bread. Discard spices in jar but leave onions in. Peel and chop apple with 4 hard boiled yolks of eggs and soaked white bread. Combine all ingredients and chop all together very fine. Garnish with leftover egg yolks grated fine.
