6 eggs, separated
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. half & half or heavy cream
2 c. milk
Dash of salt
2 tsp. vanilla

Beat egg yolks and sugar until thick and lemon-colored. Beat in half and half or cream, milk, salt and vanilla.
