APPLE TORTE DESSERT 
CRUST:

2 c. flour
1 c. butter
2 tbsp. sugar
Pinch of salt

Line bottom and sides with mixture. Slice 12 apples on crust and sprinkle with 1 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Bake about 50 minutes in 350 degree oven and cool.

CUSTARD:

3 egg yolks, well beaten
2 c. milk
1/2 c. sugar
4 tbsp. cornstarch

Cook until thick and cool.

MERINGUE:

3 egg whites
1/2 c. sugar

Beat until stiff and pour over custard and brown.
