IRENE'S CHOW CHOW 
4 c. onions, coarsely chopped
4 c. cabbage
4 c. tomatoes
12 green bell peppers, chopped
6 red bell peppers, chopped
1/2 c. uniodized salt

Let stand overnight. Drain.

Combine:

6 c. sugar
1 tbsp. mustard seed
1 tbsp. celery seed
1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
4 c. cider vinegar
2 c. water

Pour over vegetables. Bring to a boil. Boil 5 minutes.

Fill to 1 inch of top of pint jar. Clean, adjust and seal.

Water bath 5 minutes.
