CAJUN FRIED CABBAGE 
8 strips bacon
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. finely chopped green onion
2 tbsp. chopped bell pepper
6 c. chopped cabbage
1 tsp. Accent
2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. Tabasco
Crumbled bacon
1/4 tsp. black pepper
2 tbsp. pimiento

Fry bacon crisp; crumble and set aside. In the bacon drippings over low heat cook the chopped onion, green onion, bell pepper and when they are tender, add cabbage and cook, uncovered, until cabbage is half done (only a few minutes, stirring occasionally). Then add Accent, salt, sugar, Tabasco, bacon, black pepper and pimiento. Cook very gently until cabbage is tender, but still crisp. Be careful not to over cook.
