COUNTRY STYLE GRAVY MIX FOR A CROWD | |
3 qts. hot tap water 5 c. warm tap water 6 c. sifted flour 2 tsp. salt 2 tsp. pepper Bring 3 quarts of hot tap water to a full boil. Combine in a separate container, 5 cups of warm tap water and 6 cups flour. Mix, using a wire whip, until mixture is lump free. Pour gravy mix into boiling water, stirring vigorously. Gravy thickens in about 30 seconds. Continue to stir gravy for about 2 more minutes over medium high heat. After gravy is boiling and well blended, add salt and pepper. Remove from heat and serve or refrigerate for up to 3 days. Makes about 1 gallon. |
