SEVEN LAYER SALAD 
Sm. head of lettuce, cut into bite-size pieces
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
8 oz. can sliced water chestnuts
4 hard-boiled eggs, sliced
10 oz. box frozen peas, partially thawed
4 slices bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
1 c. mayonnaise, spread evenly and sealing edges
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese, sprinkled over all
Dash of paprika (for color)

Place in order listed in 9x13 inch dish and refrigerate overnight. Serves 10-12 people.
