GREAT-GRANDMA'S'S BEAN SALAD IN
MARINADE
 
1 can (15 oz.) dark red kidney beans, drained
1 can cut green beans, drained
1 pkg. frozen baby lima beans, cooked and drained
1 lg. white onion, sliced and separated into rings
3 tbsp. sugar
1/3 c. cider vinegar
1/3 c. salad oil
Salt and pepper to taste
1 med. green pepper, sliced in rings

Put kidney beans, green beans, lima beans and onion rings into a bowl. Mix with a dressing made of sugar, vinegar, oil, salt and pepper. Marinate for at least 12 hours, preferably overnight. Close to serving time add green pepper rings. Chill salad well before serving.
