NUT BREAD DOUGH | |
1/4 c. warm water 1 pkg. dry yeast 1 c. scalded milk 1/4 c. sugar 1/4 c. butter 1 tsp. salt 3 1/2 c. flour 2 egg yolks Sprinkle yeast in water, stir until dissolved. In bowl mix milk, sugar, butter and salt. Add 2 cups flour and beat well. Add yeast and egg yolks, then enough of remaining flour to make a soft dough. Turn out dough on floured surface. Knead until smooth. Place dough in lightly greased bowl, turn once to grease surface. Cover with clean towel. Let rise in warm place until double. About 1 1/2 hours. When dough is doubled, punch down, divide in half. Roll each half in rectangle. Spread on filling. Roll up like jelly roll. Place in pan. Let rise about 30-40 minutes. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. |
