3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
5 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 c. milk

Cream sugar, butter and Crisco. Mix all dry ingredients together in separate bowl. Alternate adding eggs (one at the time), milk and dry ingredients to butter and sugar, ending with flour mix. Start in cold oven and bake 1 hour and 10 minutes at 325 degrees.
