MARY'S BLUE RIBBON POUND CAKE 
3 c. all-purpose flour
6 eggs
2 sticks butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. baking powder
3 c. sugar
1 c. milk
1/2 c. Crisco
1 tsp. lemon flavoring

In a large mixing bowl, cream sugar, Crisco and butter until fluffy. Add eggs to sugar mixture, one at a time. Combine baking powder and flour in small mixing bowl and add to sugar mixture alternating with milk. Add flavorings.

Grease and flour tube pan. Pour in pound cake batter. Start in COLD oven and bake at 350 degrees approximately 1 hour or until cake pulls away from sides of tube pan.
