PEANUT OATMEAL DROPS 
A Crisp Cookie.

1 cup shortening (Crisco)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
3 cups rolled oats
1/2 lb. salted peanuts

Preheat oven to 425°F.

Cream shortening; add sugars gradually. Add vanilla and eggs and beat well. Sift flour with baking soda and add. Stir in rolled oats and peanuts and blend thoroughly.

Form dough with hands into small balls. Place on a cookie sheet.

Bake at 425°F for about 7 minutes.

Makes 6 dozen (3-inch) cookies.
