DATE PIE 
1 (9 inch) unbaked pie shell
1 c. sliced dates
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1/3 c. melted butter
1/3 c. sugar
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1/4 c. heavy cream
1 c. light corn syrup
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/8 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 275 degrees. Cover bottom of pie shell with dates and walnuts. Mix together all remaining ingredients in a bowl and pour over dates and walnuts. Bake for one hour.
