1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
1 egg, slightly beaten
Salt & pepper to taste
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1 c. unsalted tomato sauce (reserve a little)
3/4 c. oatmeal

Mix all ingredients together in a bowl. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Let stand 5 minutes, drain off grease. Let stand another 5 minutes. Mix 1/2 teaspoon of meat grease with remaining tomato sauce. Spoon over top of meat loaf. Serves 6 to 8.
