QUICK FRENCH ONION SOUP 
1 1/2 c. thinly sliced onions
3 tbsp. butter
1 can condensed onion soup
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1/2 pressed clove garlic
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
4 slices toasted French bread
1 1/2 c. shredded Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese

Saute until brown, but not scorched, the onions in the butter. Add soup prepared as per instructions. Add lemon juice, garlic, and nutmeg. Heat for 15 minutes.

Cover the soup with bread and cover bread with shredded cheese. Heat in a 275 degree oven for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. Makes 4 servings.
