CRANBERRY WHEAT GERM BREAD 
2 c. all purpose flour, sifted
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sugar
1/2 c. wheat germ
1 beaten egg
2 tbsp. oil
1/2 c. orange juice
1/4 c. warm water
3 tbsp. orange rind
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1 c. cranberries, chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line bottom of loaf pan with wax paper. Sift together flour, salt, soda, and baking powder into a large mixing bowl. Add sugar and wheat germ to this and stir. Mix egg, oil, orange juice and water together in another bowl. Add to dry ingredients and mix just until moistened. Fold in orange rind, nuts and cranberries. Pour into loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from oven and cool on wire rack for 2 minutes. Run knife around edge of pan and remove loaf from pan. Cool completely on wire rack. Makes 1 loaf.
