SPANISH RICE WITH BEEF 
3/4 lbs. ground beef
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen corn
1 c. water
1 can (14 1/2 oz.) stewed tomatoes
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. minute rice

Brown meat, breaking pieces and stirring about 5 minutes. Add corn, water, tomatoes and seasonings. Bring to boil. Stir in rice, cover and remove from heat. Let stand 5 minutes.

MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: Use 2 quart microwave dish. Break ground beef into pieces and cook at high power about 1 minute and 30 seconds. Stir, then cook until meat is no longer pink, 1 minute and 30 seconds. Reduce water to 1/2 cup and stir in remaining ingredients. Cove and cook at high power for about 6 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
