BROILED TOMATO HALVES WITH
GARLIC
 
2 lg. ripe tomatoes
1 tsp. melted butter
1 clove minced garlic
1/4 tsp. summer savory
1/4 tsp. dried thyme
3/4 c. fresh grated Parmesan cheese

Preheat broiler. Cut tomatoes in thirds and put on baking sheet. Melt butter with garlic and herbs; spread mixture on tomatoes. Sprinkle thickly with cheese. Broil several inches from heat for 7-10 minutes.
