ITALIAN SAUSAGE SOUP 
1 1/2 lb. sweet Italian sausage links, cut into 1-inch pieces
1-2 cloves garlic, minced
2 sm. to med. onions, diced
1 (28 oz.) can whole peeled tomatoes, mashed
2 (14 oz.) cans beef broth
1 tsp. leaf basil
1/2 tsp. leaf oregano
1 tbsp. chopped parsley
1 med. green pepper, seeded and chopped
2 med. zucchini, sliced into 1-inch chunks
1/2 to 1 c. water
Pinch of sugar

Brown sausage in skillet and drain. Add all ingredients to crock pot. Add fresh ground pepper to taste, plus a pinch of sugar. Cook on low 8-10 hours. Serve with Parmesan cheese.
