APPLE DESSERT 
4 c. sliced apples (or 4 c. sliced fresh pears)
1/2 c. sugar
1 (6 oz.) pkg. dry cherry Jello
1 box yellow cake mix
1 c. water
1/2 c. nuts, chopped
1/2 c. coconut
1 1/2 stick butter, sliced

In 9 x 13 pan, spread out the apples. Mix sugar and Jello together and sprinkle over apples. Sprinkle all of the dry cake mix on top. Drizzle water over cake mix and top with nuts and coconut. Put slices of butter on top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes Serve with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
