CHOPPED HERRING | |
1 jar herring in wine sauce (12 oz.) 2 hard boiled eggs 1 med. sized apple 2 slices challah or white bread 1. Saving the juice in the jar, remove the herring and grind it up. 2. Grind or chop the apple that has been peeled, the eggs and the bread that has been soaked in water and squeezed dry. 3. Mix thoroughly. 4. If the mixture tastes dry, add a small amount of the wine sauce as needed to suit your own taste. 5. Add a little sugar, to taste, if necessary. 6. Chill in refrigerator and serve. |
