SPONGE BARS 
3 egg yolks
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
Pinch of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. hot water

Beat egg yolks, add sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and vanilla. Slowly add the hot water. Beat 4 egg whites. Fold egg whites in first mixture. Bake in an ungreased 9 x 13 inch pan or jelly roll pan at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes.

FROSTING:

1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. melted butter
1 well beaten egg yolk
1 tsp. vanilla

Spread on cooled bars and sprinkle with crushed salted peanuts.
