PUNCH BOWL CAKE 
1 pkg. Duncan Hines pineapple or yellow cake mix
2 lg. pkg. vanilla pudding
1 pkg. strawberries, thawed
1 sm. can crushed pineapple
2 lg. containers Cool Whip

Bake cake in 2 round cake pans. Cool. Make pudding from box recipe and place a little pudding in bottom of punch bowl. Then put 1 cake layer. Pour crushed pineapple over cake, then more of pudding and add 3/4 of Cool Whip.

Put other cake layer on this, then strawberries (do not drain). Rest of pudding mixture, rest of Cool Whip. If desired, top with chopped nuts, cherries, and frozen coconut.
