PRALINES 
1 (1 lb.) box brown sugar
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour cream

Boil to good soft ball, 250 degrees with candy thermometer. Take from stove and add 2 tablespoons butter and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Beat until it loses its gloss and add 2 cups of pecans.

Drop by spoon on wax paper. You can make this in microwave in a 4-quart bowl with the candy thermometer in the bowl. Stir every few minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
