1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 to 5 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Stir in flour and baking soda mixture. Chill dough. Roll out and cut with cookie cutters. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 6 to 7 dozen cookies.
