FRENCH GREEN BEAN DISH 
1 (16 oz.) can French style green beans
1 (16 oz.) chow mein vegetables, drained
1 (8 oz.) sliced water chestnuts
1 c. celery, chopped
1 c. onion, chopped
3/4 c. sugar (I add a bit more)
3/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. vegetable oil

Combine first 5 ingredients in a large bowl; set aside. Combine remaining ingredients; pour over vegetables, tossing gently. Cover and chill 8 hours or overnight.
