CHOCOLATE GINGERBREAD 
2 c. sifted flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. ginger
1 1/2 sq. unsweetened chocolate
1/3 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1/2 c. sweet milk

Cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses and beaten eggs. Sift into butter mixture, the flour, soda, baking powder and seasonings alternating with the milk.

Pour into greased bread pan 10 x 6 x 1 1/2 inches. Bake 25 minutes in moderate oven (350 degrees).
