LAURA'S SOUR CREAM TACO DIP 
Best when drinking a Corona Beer with Lime!

1 bag tortilla chips (scoops or round tortilla chips are good to use)
1 (8 oz.) container dairy sour cream (whole milk)
1 env. taco seasoning mix
1 head of lettuce
1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded cheddar cheese (white or yellow or you can use both)
1 or 2 ripe tomatoes (depending on how many you are serving)

In a bowl mix sour cream and taco seasoning and let sit in refrigerator for about 1/2 to 1 hour.

Shred lettuce into one bowl. Dice tomatoes into another bowl.

Place tortilla chips on either a large serving platter or cookie sheet (I double the recipe when using a cookie sheet).

After tortilla chips are spread evenly on platter, take dip and spread evenly over tortilla chips.

Sprinkle shredded lettuce over entire platter, then sprinkle cheese, and lastly add diced tomatoes over platter.

Serve.

Note: Do not spread dip mix over tortilla chips prior to company coming, the dip will turn chips soggy.
