GERMAN POTATO SALAD | |
3-4 strips of bacon 1 c. chopped onion 2 tbsp. flour 3/4 tsp. salt 1/2 c. sugar 1/2 c. vinegar 1 c. water 7-8 potatoes Cook potatoes with jackets on. Cut bacon in small pieces. Fry. Remove bacon. Sauté onions in fat. Stir in flour and salt. Add sugar, vinegar and water. Bring to a boil. Add bacon pieces and pour over the cut and cooled potatoes. Make ahead and reheat for better flavor. |
