CHINESE BATTER 
1/2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. garlic powder

Add enough water to make a medium thin batter, like pancake batter. Add a dash of pepper and soy sauce. Add 4 teaspoons oil. A good batter for fish, shrimp, vegetables, or onion rings. Deep fry at 350 degrees and drain.
