NANNY PHOEBE'S HEALTHY CASSEROLE | |
1 lb. twist macaroni 1 (16 oz.) jar spaghetti sauce 1 pkg. frozen chopped spinach 1 (16 oz.) container cottage cheese 1 lb. lean chop meat 1 (8 oz.) pkg. shredded Mozzarella 3 oz. vegetable or corn oil Cook macaroni according to package directions. Brown chop meat in frying pan and add sauce. Cook until bubbly. Spoon a layer of sauce and meat into large, lightly oiled casserole pan. Layer alternately macaroni, cooked spinach, cottage cheese and meat sauce. Last two layers should be macaroni and sauce. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees until hot and bubbly. Remove from oven and sprinkle with Mozzarella cheese. Return to oven uncovered until cheese melts. |
