1 c. Crisco
2 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
6 tbsp. cocoa
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sour milk
1 c. boiling water

Blend Crisco, sugar, and eggs. Sift cocoa, salt, soda, and flour and add to mixture. Add vanilla, sour milk, and lastly, boiling water. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.

ICING:

1 stick butter
6 tbsp. buttermilk
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 box powdered sugar
1 c. nuts

Melt butter; add buttermilk and cocoa and bring to boil. Add remaining ingredients. Pour over cake while hot.
