FRENCH CHEWY COOKIES 
2 lbs. brown sugar
5 eggs
3/4 lb. butter
5 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. almond extract
1 tbsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon

Cream butter, sugar and eggs. Mix well. Gradually add flour and remaining ingredients. Roll dough in floured wax paper. (Approximately 2 inches in diameter and 12 inches long.) Chill overnight. Then slice 1/4 inch thick. Bake on cookie sheet at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Store in airtight container.
