COWBOY STEW 
6 slices bacon
1 c. sliced onion
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
Garlic salt to taste
1 lb. ground beef
2 cans tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 can drained kidney beans
2 c. cut up potatoes
2 c. cut up carrots
1 can drained corn

Cook bacon, then crumble in a big pot. Saute onions, peppers and garlic in bacon grease until tender. Add ground beef. Cook until brown. Add tomatoes, salt, pepper, and chili powder. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes. Add vegetables, simmer 15 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
