FRUIT COCKTAIL TORTE 
1 1/2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
2 c. or 1 can fruit cocktail (also juice)

TOPPING:

3/4 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. nuts, chopped

Sift together dry ingredients. Beat egg. Mix in fruit cocktail. Add to dry ingredients and mix well. Pour into greased 9 x 13 inch baking dish or pan. Mix brown sugar and nuts together. Spread over top of mixture in dish or pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until brown. Serve warm with whipped cream.
