MARVA'S SALISBURY'S | |
3 lbs. ground beef 1 onion 2 tbsp. garlic salt, 2 tbsp. MSG 2 tbsp. soy sauce 1/4 c. flour 1/4 c. vegetable oil 1 egg 3 1/2 c. water Mix ground beef, garlic salt and MSG thoroughly. Add egg, mix well. Set aside. In large skillet, combine vegetable oil and onions. Saute until tender. Remove onions from oil shape meat mixture into oblong patties. Sprinkle each pattie with flour. Place in skillet and fry until done, about 3 minutes, don't overcook. After all patties have been browned, remove most of fat in skillet. Add flour and brown until the color of a penney stirring constantly. Add water, stirring as you add, then bring to a boil, cook until mixture begins to thicken. Add soy sauce, mix well. Add patties and onions and cook until gravy is thick to your taste. Salt and pepper optional. Serve over rice or potatoes. |
