HELEN'S MOLASSES CRINKLES 
3/4 cup butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1/4 cup unsulphered molasses
2 cup sifted white flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup wheat germ
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp ginger
1 cup whole wheat flour
Granulated sugar
Blanched almonds

Cream together butter and brown sugar; add eggs and stir well. Mix in molasses and wheat germ. Sift in white flour, salt, soda and spices stirring until well blended. Add whole wheat flour stirring until well blended.

Chill at least 1/2 hour. Form into balls the size of a walnut, and dip in granulated sugar. Top each with an almond.

Bake on lightly greased cookie sheet in 375°FF oven for 12-15 minutes.
