| MARY'S MOLASSES CRINKLE COOKIES | |

1 1/2 c. shortening 2 c. brown sugar 2 eggs 2/3 c. molasses (Brer Rabbit, light mild flavor) 1/2 tsp. salt 4 tsp. baking soda 2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. cloves 2 tsp. ginger 4 2/3 c. flour (I use Gold Medal) Roll into 1-inch balls and roll in sugar; bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. A good soft cookie. | |

Although I did not prepare this recipe with the name brand flour & using dark molasses insead of light, these were the very BEST molasses cookies I have ever made!!! Thanks so much for the great recipe...and just in time for Christmas, too!!!
