MOLASSES CRINKLES 
1 c. packed brown sugar
1/2 c. butter, softened
1/4 c. butter
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
2 c. all-purpose flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. ground ginger
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. salt
sugar

Mix brown sugar, butters, molasses and egg in medium bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients except sugar. Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour, but not longer than 24 hours.

Heat oven to 375°F. Shape into 1 1/4-inch balls. Roll in the sugar. Place about 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 10 to 11 minutes or just until set. Cool slightly. Remove from cookie sheet.

Makes about 3 dozen cookies.
