KAREN'S PHILLY CHEESESTEAK
SANDWICH

These are great!!

3/4 lb. roast beef slices
1 small onion
1/2 bell pepper
8 to 10 small mushrooms
salt and pepper, to taste
3 to 6 slices provolone cheese
3 to 4 sourdough bread or hoagie rolls
1 cup beef gravy (I use Heinz HomeStyle - optional)
2 tbsp. butter

Slice onions in ring like pattern, slice mushrooms and bell peppers thinly too. Sauté them in butter. Heat your roast beef slices with the gravy and set aside.

Slice and toast the bread/rolls and put 1 to 2 slices of cheese on each persons roll. Melt the cheese a bit then add the sautéed vegetables and the beef slices to the bread... Enjoy!

These make 3 heaping sandwiches!! Or 4 medium sandwiches...

Serves 3 to 4.

Can sub "Au Jus" mix (store bought in pkg)... for the beef gravy. Heat the beef slices in this... then put Au Jus in small bowl - and dip each slice before eating. Ends up being a French Dip. Is outstanding. Please continue to submit any other recipes you have. Love this one. Will definitely try it with the Heinz Home Style gravy. Thanks.
