SOUR CREAM POUND CAKE 
1/2 lb. butter
3 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/2 pt. sour cream
1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
7 eggs
3 c. flour
Dash nutmeg
1/4 tsp. salt (optional)

Cream softened butter and sugar. Add baking soda, sour cream, lemon extract and vanilla. Add alternately and mix by hand eggs and flour (2 eggs, 1 cup flour, 2 eggs, 1 cup flour, etc. ending with 1 egg). Add nutmeg and salt. Bake in buttered tube pan at 325 degrees 1 1/2 hours or until golden brown.
