SOUTHERN CORN BREAD 
3 c. white corn meal
1 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. butter
1 tsp. salt
3 eggs
2 c. milk
2 tsp. (heaping) baking powder

Thoroughly sift together into bowl the flour and white corn meal. Stir in sugar and salt; rub in the butter. Beat the eggs thoroughly and add to the mixture with the milk. Lastly, add in the baking powder and mix with a spoon to a stiff batter; pour into well-greased pans and bake quickly in a preheated oven at 425°F or 450°F for 25 minutes or until top is golden.
