ENGLISH MUFFIN BREAD 
2 pkg. dry yeast
6 c. flour
1 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
2 c. milk
1/2 c. water
Cornmeal

Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and soda. Heat liquids until warm. Add to dry mixture and beat well. Stir in rest of flour (3 cups) to make stiff batter. Let rise 1 hour in warm place covered. Spoon into 2 greased 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inch loaf pans sprinkled with cornmeal. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Remove from pans immediately and cool.
