FUNNEL CAKE 
2 eggs
1 1/2 c. milk
1 tsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
Shortening for deep fat frying
Powdered sugar

Mix all ingredients well. Holding finger over bottom of funnel, fill funnel with about 1/3 cup of batter. Hold funnel near surface of hot grease, remove finger and drop batter into grease using a circular motion from center outward to form a spiral cake about 3 inches in diameter. Fry cake until brown, remove from grease, drain. Sprinkle with powdered sugar and serve hot. Good with syrup or jelly.
