MOM'S LUSIOUS CRESCENT ROLLS 
1 env. active dry yeast
1/2 c. warm water
1 c. milk, scalded
1/2 c. butter
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
3 to 3 1/2 c. flour
Melted butter as needed

Dissolve yeast in warm water. Heat milk 1 minute on high in microwave. Combine milk, butter, sugar and salt in same bowl. Stir until dissolved. Cool to lukewarm. Add to yeast/water mixture.

Whip one egg with a fork and stir in with other ingredients. Add flour to make soft dough, one cup at a time.

Turn out on floured board and knead until dough is smooth and elastic. Place in buttered bowl, cover and let rise in warm place until doubled.

With a rolling pin, roll 1/2 dough into a 12 inch circle. Cut into 8ths. Roll from wide to small point end. Pinch together. Put on cookie sheet. Let rise until double. Bake in 375 degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
