It was delicious! But I split the recipe in half and aded some extra rice krispies and little bit less marshmellow cause I didn't want it too sweet. Yummy!

I used this recipe but instead of rice krispies I used fruity pebbles and it gave an awesome fruity flavor!!!

It was the exact flavor I was looking for. However they were very crumbly. Do you have any tricks to making this a little denser rather than squeezing the mixture into a ball with my hands.

Hi Tara,

You could try adding a few more tablespoons of butter. You can press the mixture together by rolling it up with wax paper.

I followed the recipe above and had some Andes' Mints left from another recipe. I decided to melt them in a small saucepan and spread it over them. Yum is all I can say!

I just made these, I did add 1-1/2 more tbsp. of butter. They held together well, and I did add M&M's. I must say these are very good. I have not had a rice krispie treats in 9 years, I am a vegetarian and marshmallows have gelatin. This is a great alternative.

Great alternative! I did follow the advice of another commenter and used an extra pad of butter. I added some orange food coloring and cut pumpkin shapes with a cookie cutter. I rolled out tootsie rolls and cut out eyes and mouths for super cute Jackolanterns! Perfect for the party I'm going to tonight :0)

I like to make them with Cocoa Krispies! Sometimes I mix in a little instant coffee powder for a mocha flavor I add some chocolate sprinkles on top too.

I added some peanut butter. Peanut butter chips are also good. This is my first time making these treats, and since my grandkids love them, I figured I better practice first.

my mom has been making these for years as we are vegan too. if you are looking for marshmallow that do not have animal products in them we used to get ours at the Advantist Book House where they also have a variety of vegan, vegetarian food products. I would now Google this as they may not be in your area but you can purchase some online.
