ROYAL WILD RICE CASSEROLE 
1 c. wild rice, thoroughly washed
2 c. cold water
1 tsp. salt
6 strips bacon, diced
1/2 c. diced onion
1/2 c. diced celery
1/2 c. minced carrot
1 c. diced mushrooms
1/2 c. diced green pepper
1/2 c. minced ham
1 tbsp. Accent
1/2 tsp. curry powder
1 tsp. salt (or to taste)
Dash of red pepper sauce

Put wild rice in a double boiler top and add water and salt. Set over direct heat and bring quickly to the boiling point. Cover and cook over hot water until tender, 1 to 1 1/2 hours. To a heavy skillet add bacon and cook until crisp (stir often). Add onion, celery, carrot, green pepper and mushrooms and cook until tender crisp. Add ham, Accent, curry powder, salt and red pepper sauce. Stir into wild rice.
